IOOKATME: does it matter which end i cut the bumpstops on? should i cut from the big end or the little end? thanx
doesn't matter what end...just as long as there is 1/3 of the bump stop there to keep the shock from bottuming out. DO NOT FORGET TO CUT THE BUMPSTOPS AND DO NOT FORGOT TO PUT THEM BACK IN!!!!!!!!!
if you forget to put them in you have to do the install all over. To put them back on you need to take everything off..
www.ntpog.org has excellent instructions and pics to guide you through the install. look under the mods section.
You will want to take out the old springs....all this will be is unbolting and stuff....pull the control arm down and pull the strut assembly torwards your body. Now after you finesse it off...you will need a spring compressor..compress the spring carefully with the spring compressor and keep it on the spring. slowly take the top sturt assembly off.....then take the spring off with the compressor. the bump stop is under the cover. take all of it off. cut the bump stop in half or in 1/3...I perfer 1/3 or whatever makes it an even cut

now put the bump stop on the shock and put the spring on the new shock or old one. you may not need the spring compresser again, but some springs you may need to compress the spring again before you can get the top strut assembly on. When you put the assembly on remember to put the black ring on before the whole assembly....you will know what I mean when you dissasemble it. then just put it in in reverse order
