Gotta hear about my tranny

Well,

About one week ago, while driving down good old I-95, I noticed that my tranny started to slip. Seeing that my car has about 27K on it and being an automatic, I thought that it needed its transmission fluid changed. Took it into the dealer, and told me that nothing was wrong. Drove the car about 4 miles, gears slipping mad. Went back to the dealer. Result? Today, I got my car back, new tranny and all. Saw the bill- $3800!!! But the warranty covered it all.

Hey, just curious to know, how many peeps had problems with their tranny so far. What maintainence should someone do, just to keep their tranny running right (besides not flooring it off the line).

what year is your car? alot of people have had problems w/ 6th gen v6 trannys.
Are you manually shifting it? If so, stop. I drove this 99 accord that only had like 15k on it about a year ago, and it had been beat, and the tranny was already clunking into gear, and shifting very hard. btw, it was v6. I hear its very common to have your tranny go out before 50k or before if its been treated poorly.(not saying you treated it poorly)
Ok, I got a 2000 Honda I4 automatic...

And I wasnt even shifting manually, so it kinda makes you think?

But still i wanna know what to do to keep this from happening again
wow you just saved a lot of money
do you have a 6 or a 4 cyl?
Mine started slipping 48,000 Kilometres... n stil is.. but not too bad.. only when floorin n racin it wont shift gears n goes into redline n past n stays in there.... but i treated it like shit... hehe damn nitrous hehehe but its all good im going Level Ten tourque converter n Tranny rebuild very soon
My I4 tranny's been slipping for the longest time. Does anyone know if this problem has ever happened with the Prelude SS? If not, I'm thinking of swapping into the SS (if possible).
