That is right what you stated above.TiMID said:[rant]ok, damnit. coilovers are when you have a shock and spring as 1 unit, and ground controlls are adjustable springs that you add shocks too.[/end rant]

But, I would rather call them coilover sleeves than controllers![]()
Technically coil-overs are just as they sound coil springs over a shock which in itself is one unit once bolted together. Now in the aftermarket world there are two simular products that serve the same function but are built slightly different. There are full coil-overs (as they are commonly refered to) which have the adjustable perch and a threaded shock housing that the perch spins and sits upon. Then there are adjustable coil-over sleves (which they are also commonly refered to) which are just that a threaded sleve that has a perch on it that you install over a shock aftermarket or stock. They are both a coil-over in design but one is bought as one piece and the other is bought as two but end up as one.Neither one has an adjustable spring. They both have an adjustable perch that the spring sits upon.TiMID said:[rant]ok, damnit. coilovers are when you have a shock and spring as 1 unit, and ground controlls are adjustable springs that you add shocks too.[/end rant]
