Would Gs-R cams work in an Ls? If so, what are the advantages/disadvantages? Or should I buy aftermarket mild cams?

no they will not. disadvantages are that if you put them in they fuck shit up real bad. advantages are if you get some you can put em under your seat and smack possible car jackers in the head with them.

First question why? Second question, why would you opt for GSR cams anyway when there is a huge market out there for aftermarket ones?

Just wonderin' if they'd work. If they did, what the diff would be from those to expensive aftermarket ones. But they don't.
