GS-R vs Type R seats

Just curious to see what are the differences between these two seats. Which one is more comfy for daily driving and sitting through rush hour? I would imagine the ITR seats have more support? Later down the road, hopefully I will be able to get one of these seats. Just want to have an idea on how much to save and which to choose. Oh and how much would it be to match the back seats of an Si to the GS-R or ITR seats? Or would it be better to match the new seats to the regular Si pattern?

Either way it's going to cost you a lot. If I were you I would get the gsr seats, then just get back seats from a 4-door teg. THey will fit, and will be cheaper then trying to match everything up.

I highly doubt you are going to be able to match the type R seats very easily.

Either that or put the type R seats up front, and just get black 4-door cloth teg seats for the back...
I got a good deal for you if your interested.... Where do you live. I reside in georgia and buddy of mine has GSR seats (front and back ) rewrapped with light and dark grey katskin leather. He's selling them for 700.00 (that's for front and back)

Hit me up at [email protected] if your interested.
I'm not ready to buy yet. I just want info on both. Later down the road though...
gs-r seats aren't too bad...they're pretty comparable to stock si seats, the only bad part is that the leather gets pretty slippery and doesn't hold you in place. type-r seats have a sturdier cushion and just grip you a hell of a lot better they're made of suede, i think. besides the red stiching adds a nice touch. You can probably get a whole type-r interior for about the same price as a gs-r interior. If I were you, i'd check out one of the s2000 boards and get those seats...comfortable and they hold you like a glove.
Sweet! Thanks for the info!
type r seats are 30% softer than the gsr, to make up for the stiffer suspension. they're usually about twice the price of cloth gsr seats. like the other people said the back seat won't fit, i've seen 2 different solutions to this: someone took the outter cloth part off the rear type r seat, took the outter part off the si seat, and put the type r outter on the si seat. another is to get the back seat from a 4 door teg (good luck finding someone who'll sell you just the fronts and someone else who'll sell you just the backs because they're usually sold in seats). i'd go with the first idea i mentioned. so type r seats must be a little more comfortable becuase the're softer.

DAMN! $700.00!!?? what a rip-off! i just got a set of GSR front AND back for $100 (no kidding). Yes its old, from 97 'teg, but damn its is VERY good condition! i just swap them on my civic coupe. perfect fit.
My friend has old integra seats from a 90-93' GSr and GS. There isn't anything special about the GS seats, but the GSR has a lower lumbar adjustment making it so that the lower lumbar squeezes in hugging you. I think there are other years that have this feature. I'm grabbing that set off my friend and reupholstering.
Fuck it and get a set of Sparcos. Better then either seats.

Actually, I was talking about the Sprint seats. FIA approved seat. Lightweight and tubular steel frame. Also, only 200 bucks. I attached a pic.
