depends on what you want to do...ls/vtec should stay all motor because they dont handle forced induction to well...I'd stay with the gsr motor since you already have it....ls/vtec's arnt hard to build but some shops to crappy jobs because they are lazy, so make sure its done right...

Hey, I'm in Riverside and was plannning on having Hook-Ups do my swap pretty soon. I assume you recommend them. What are their prices like? Could I trust them to build an LS/VTEC? Thanks for any help.

hayan-I highly recommend them..they do real good work and they do it right. I think its about 2600 for just the ls/vtec. They will charge more for everything depending on what you need, like mounts etc. But its well worth it. They use a b16 head, unless u want a different one. They use brand new b16 pistons and rings straight from honda. I'd trust them to do anything on my car.

you have to watch out with jdm ctr and itr pistons with ls/vtec because compressions gets up there...it can be done...but watch closely because if compression goes above 11:1 pump gas wont run detonation free

How much does Hook-Ups charge for a CR/VTEC motor including installation? Where are they located I am in Riverside and go to UCR like Hayan Namja (do not know him though). I want to go force induction eventually do they do that too and is it good on a CR/VTEC motor?

Hook-ups does everything...I wouldnt recommend forced induction on a frankenstein motor because they dont handle it all to well..but i knew someone who did an ls/vtec turbo and it ran fine...so i dunno...as far as the price for the crvtec..off the top of my head I dont know because I have never asked about it.....call them up though and they will give you a price.. (909)373-RACE(7223)

they are in Upland on 1820 West 11th street Unit C...Take the 10 freeway west, exit Central and Turn right(NORTH)...Go past arrow highway, past the train tracks, and past arrow route...When you pass arrow route there will be a gas station ahead on the left, thats 11th street...turn RIGHT on 11th(EAST) and its about a 1/4 mile after you turn on the right side of the street...Be careful when you go into the drive way because its really steep.
