Just curious, What's everybody's opinion on Gude/Bullfrog Products?

Run away from them
i've heard horror stories of how badly they have messed up peoples heads. making less h/p than when stock. be verrrrry careful.
I have a buddy that had his head done by them he told them it was for a 9 PSI SC setup they sent him back a head with high overlap cams and it was milled down for high compression. They told him the only way they would replace it was if it did damage to the engine, so he slapped it on and it lasted his engine lasted 2 days before it blow. They did however replace all that was damaged.

BTW this is only one of the many bad stories I have about them
So there customer service is basically shit! o.k., now what about there actual products? are they any good ?, i.e. cams, gears?
No if anything I was saying there customer service is good, there cams have problems with breaking there port & polish jobs suck ass and I have no clue about there can gears
in addition to being mediocre at best, gude stuff is really expensive.
Damn!, this just adds to the many complaints that I've heard about Gude. I personally like my cam & gear combo for my 97' ex, but I'm damn glad I have not had to call them for anything! Thanks for opinions.
NO wonder why they don't offer any warranties!!
I've been running a COMPLETE GUDE head package for 4 years/ 75,000 miles without ONE problem. Gude products are some of the best out there... those who disagree clearly don't know enough about motors...or had some dumbass install their parts...either way, I HIGHLY diasagree with the comments made here.

140,000 mile B18A... the SAME motor that came with the car. It throws down 160 whp... stock block, stock fuel rail, stock ignition, stock fuel pump, stock oil pump. I rev to 8500 all day long, have more torque than any Vtec motor below 2.0 and I STILL womp on Vtec setups with bolt ons. If that Vtec setup has headwork, he MIGHT beat me by a car.

I'm not gonna get into the details but, I've held my own for 4 years without changing my setup. All I hear is Jun this, Toda that... Vtec this, Vtec that... I'll NEVER OWN a Vtec motor.

While you guys are out spending thousands for a few more hp (while not realizing you car is just like EVERYONE elses, especially those with G3's), I've been sitting here for years with a smile on my face.

Yeah, I talk Sh!t. Why? Because you all talk trash about a company that has done nothing but make my Integra haul ass reliably. I'll repeat that... RELIABLY.

Oh and GUDE stuff isn't "really expensive". That Toda and Jun BANDWAGON is expensive.
:mad

Gude powered G2 waiting to stomp all over the "I'm better than you" Vtec owners...

It doesn't take 20 grand for the car and 20 grand for headwork to have a fun car. It does cost 40 grand to "try to be better than your friends though"...

The Gude camp doesn't play that game.

Thats nice... Now go read up on all of the bad experiences that other people have had with gude. Poor customer service. Send a part in for repair and you *might* get it back.. might not. Call for help, you might get it, you might not. Get some headwork done, it might work out, it might not.

Yeah, gude stuff is expensive. Too expensive for the shotty track record and customer relations that they have.

If anyone is looking for head packages, take a look at exospeed/rs machines, portflow, rlz engineering (www.hondaraceengines.com), etc. A lot of good companies out there offering good packages.
Guide= a great paper weight
Hmmm, I guess what I look at everyday is wrong. I guess these past 4 years have been a dream. Musta wasted my money.

No wonder I haven't been on this board for years, you guys act like you own BMW's or something. Isn't the bandwagon you're on full? It was 4 years ago when I looked at it.

stop being silly. Nobody here called you a liar. You bought your package 4yrs ago. A lot can happen in 4yrs. I've heard of another success story with Gude. The guy bought his a while back, worked ok, he actually knew the owner of the company. Also stated that he wouldn't buy another today because of the poor customer service and problems that people have been having.

Go to *ANY* other honda forum and ask about Gude/Bullfrog, you will see even nastier responses than you saw in this thread.
i had a good experience with them, bigger TB, extrude honed IM, P&P/milled head and it seemed great to me when i got it back - definitely more power than when i sent it out. I was happy with their service and the price wasn't bad, but like the other guy this was more than 4 years ago.

after all the horror stories i've read over the past few years, i want to get rid of this stuff just to make sure it doesnt end up fucking me over in the long run...
