im thinking i want to put a H22 vtec into my Si asi have to do somehting this motor has a lot of miles and i figure i might as well go to a lil more power motor. but what i am wondering is can i go with a differant motor than came in mya car and still pass smog ( like from here http://hmotorsonline.com/)???? or should i just go with another H23????

go h22...unless you live in california, a jdm motor should pass emissions...ive never heard of one that didnt just for being jdm

i'm in cali, had a h23a, swapped with a jdm h22a, and am passing emissions every time.

aight sick than i htink ima go jdm h22 than, yea im in cali. and it had a hard time passing so hopefully by next time i need to smog, itll have a new motor.
