H22A OR B18

 Ok so Im needing to do an engine swap here probably with in a year. So Im doing some research here and there. My first thought for my 3rd generation Prelude was a H22a swap but had heard that they are very front heavy for my kind of car. I dont know if this is true or not beause I have seen many 3rd gen Ludes with h22a engines. So If this is so I am now thinking of getting the b18. Knowing that the h22a puts out a bit more horsepower thats still the engine I would rather have unless of course the b18 is the better bet. Help me out.

Get a H22 VTEC motor.....I've seen a hatch back with one and damn was it fast...
if u want torque get the h22a...its only like 30 lbs more than a 1.8
I am going to have to say get the B18. Lighter, cheaper, and much more choices available in the aftermarket for it. Plus installation would be considerably easier. And your handling wouldn't be upset. A car as light as yours doesn't require as much tq to toss it around.
Can we say b20 hybrid? :D
The B18C's are actually more expensive than the H22A's cuz of demand. There on average like 800 more. If your talking about b18b then yes, there cheap as fock, you could get one for like 1k. But the install on the H22 will cost more, usually. And the H22's are more like 90 lbs. heavier than the b18, not 30. People say 90 lbs don't matter for handling, but imagine having a 90 lb barbell in your engine bay... that would make a huge difference in handling. All in all, if you mostly drag race.. i'd say h22, or go b18b and FI.
i say go with h22a. i love mine. i paid 1800 for my motor and the only other things i bought were hcp mount kit $350 and gsr axles
$150. for the price i paid to have my swap in my car you would send just on a gsr motor alone.
