You can do it but it would be very costly, not to mention time consuming. You would have to step-up the voltage of you battery to give the ps2 120v - you would need to make/build a small transfomer. It is much better just to go and get a power inverter and that will save you time and money (electrical parts are expensive). Make sure you get a power inverter that has at a bare minimum 150watt power handling. You can wire the power inverter directly to the battery -- just make sure you have a fuse inline, and you mount the unit inside of the car. Hope this helps!
open up the ps2
mesure out the voltages the ps2 power supply gives
then build one with 12V input

now thats too much work, i guess ill juss get a power inverter instead.
ya man just get a power inverter. I just got one off ebay that you can either hook up to a second battery in your trunk or plug into your cig. lighter. It was like $40 inc shipping. 350 volts, and 2 outlets built in. I'm just getting started with my electronics in my subaru. I'm hoping to have a ps2 and 3 tvs hooked up along with a tv tuner.:D

Good luck on your "quest for glory" ;)
