im about to buy a head for my d16y8 motor and i was wanting to know if i should stick with getting a y8 head or if it would be better to get a zc,y7,y5 ect... head instead, or would getting another head other than the y8 be better or worse hp wise and can it be done

would it be better to get a head with low miles or just fix my y8 head up

Y8, i don't even think the ZC will fit, isn't that a DOHC head? And the Y7 is a non vtec head, so I definately wouldn't go from vtec to non vtec.....

the head has nothing to do with it.. (economy) its all the other systems put in place..

y7=y8 head casting without the vtec valve train.

furthermore adding an aftermarket cam to the non vtec heads can eclipse the performance of a stock SOHC in the vtec casts.
