I have Dunlop SP Sport 5000's on my stock rims. Great tire. Sure it's an all season, but it's sure as hell much better than the shittilins that came with the car. These have great grip in the wet and dry. They give up the extra grip that the ultra high performance tires have, but it is still a great performer. Check them out.

How much did those Dunlops run you out of curiosity? I was looking at them about a month ago and I think the guy threw me an estimate around $150 a piece. It wasn't a solid estimate, more of a side conversation between us, but I'm just curious to find out what other people have paid for them.

The Dunlops sound good, except I had a bad experience when I had my Celica years ago ( hopefully they've made improvements)...I had a blow out and when i had it examined by the dealer it turned out to be a manufacturer blemish....
Anyway i swore never to buy another Dunlop.....hehehe........One question to you is if the tire hardens when te temperature drops??...but thanks for the input....all is taken in......

from what ive heard, you can't beat Kumo ECSTA Supra 712's for the price/performance ratio. they run you about 65 bucks each compared to the stock michelins, which are ridiculously priced in the 120-130 range. there grip is comparable to parada's and the dunlop8000.....i dont knoe about water traction tho.

I'm inclined to go with the Kumhos.....I just have to find a local tire store since it costs about $20/ tire to have them installed.....I think Tirerack has a good price.....but.....again the installation brings it up to the same price as buying them locally....thanks
