I just moved to Phoenix and need to get my car fixed.

I need recommendations on a good body shop

and

Where is there a decent import shop?

I am looking for a place to purchase a Wing's West kit and wheels and I want to find a good body shop to paint/install my kit and fix some front end damage and not screw me on the price.

Let me know,

Well you'll hear different things about Versus I'm sure, but when I was there he had some pretty good deals. I got the original Ground Designs BW for $675. There's also Apex Motorsports and a few others.

Where bouts in Phoenix are you?
There are a lot of shops around here. How would you rate a good shop? Prices, stock, location?

For me - Versus is the closest - that's west of I-17 on Glendale - I think its like 23rd ave or something. There are other shops in Tempe - but I haven't been to them yet.

Versus has a shit load of stock. They carry everything and they can get anything you need. This is their second shop - their first shop is in L.A - so if anything needs to be orderd it should be there the next day.

The prices are decent - the people that work there are hella cool. I was trying to ship my bodykit when I sold it on ebay and no carrier would accept my package. It was going to cost me $350 to ship via Frieght. The peeps down at Versus shipped it for me - they packaged it for me and I only payed em $150.00 to ship to Long Island.

Phoenix has a diverse style of imports - there are tons of tacky - ugly (riced) cars out there - and there are some pretty nice ones. BUt the cool thing is, everyone gets along, from what I've seen in the past six months.

I myself, moved from northern califorina. Most the people out there are fucking lame. They all hate on each other they are ignorant and they don't have an open mind. You could go cruising out there and most of the other import drivers all try to act tough. You don't find that in Az unless the person is from out of state.

I haven't found a body shop or heard of any shop that specializes on imports. Mostly all of em just sell products. I haven't seen a lot of body work out here - mainly just paint and kits. I've only seen one wide bodied kit on a civic - that's it. Where as - I'm used to seeing head light conversions, tail conversions, etc. I'm sure there is more - but probably not a lot. My buddy just took his car to L.A to have his Silvia S15 headlights installed on his teg.

Guys, THANKS for the response!

To me, a good shop is "takes care of the customer" and "price". I don't mind paying a little more knowing the person I am dealing with isn't trying to screw me or sell me something I don't really want!

I am looking for the complete Wing West Avenger kit for my Civic and now that I am away from the Ohio winters, I want to do up some chrome rims. Seems that Versus is the place to check out first!

I live in Chandler, off of Queen Creek and Alma School.

I am pretty tied up the next 3-4 days. If anyone in the PHX area want's to hook up and meet me there, I would love to meet some new people.

Drop me an email so we can get together!

Later,

I'm done with hookin up - but my car isn't - I can't even get it to run correctly. Anywayz - let me know - I haven't even cruised around Tempe since I moved here. I heard that was the place to avoid because of cops and the hatin college crowd.
