Ive got an auto 99 civic ex. Id like to do a swap and was wondering if there was a way to adapt a b16a to an automatic tranny, OR if it would be cheaper/easier to jsut doa full engine/tranny swap... can anyone help me out and suggest what to do... along with what types of mods might be needed for compatability.?? thx

If you want to keep your auto tranny you have now your not gonna have a b16a. If you want to keep your tranny now keep the stock motor and throw a jrsc on it. If you want a b16a then u need new tranny.

You can have a quick auto hybrid dude. You'll have to shell out some serious money though. All you need is a B20 block, a B16A head and an automatic CR-V or LS tranny. After that, get some high-compression pistons and a new torque converter. You're all set!
