Hi there, I want to plate / chrome the valve cover on my Civic Si (EX in the States). It's the SOHC Vtec.

Can I just go to the wrecker and get any 92 Civic and up SOHC Vtec cover? Do i need to find the exact model, or maybe 96 up? I have heard mixed things as to which ones are compatible. Please help!

why not take the valve cover thats on your car the the crome plating shop? I am positive it will fit back on also it saves you buying a used valve cover.:)

good luck
my car will be out of commision for at least a week, and I still have to get around. If I can find one from a wrecker for like $60 or something, it's worth it.
I was reading one of the import mags...They make after market valve covers for the sohc now...You should check it out.

I'll try to find it again for you.
I've seen the SOHC VTEC ones in the summit racing catalogue for 200 and change, already polished. Check them for the actual price though my memory isn't that good.
