ok i knwo there is a post about resonators but i have a question ive heard different things.....ive heard that if u dont have a resonator it will sound aweful so i want a resonator.....ive been told that i should get a highflow resonator but i cant find one and i dont want to buy one if my stock one will work just as well......i want it to be loud but i dont want it to sound like ass with no res.............advice please

anyone know if hte apexi N1 muffler has a resonator in the canister it says on the website that the sound levels should be controlled thru the use of resonators and piping so does that mean there is no resonator in the can

resonators will quiet it down considerably depending on how big it is...the bigger it is, the more sound waves it can reflect....when the sound waves reflect they interfere the sound waves coming down the exhaust pipe and effectively cancel eachother out...the muffler will reflect some sound waves too, so they will quiet it down somewhat, but not near as much as a good resonator will.

so i need a resonator but does the N1 canister have one inside it already cause i heard some mufflers have them right inside the canister......
