Ok guys I'm a freaking nOOb when it comes to setting a car up for racing so I need some help. In the game I have a 96 'Lude SIR. I'm putting out about 312hp with it. I have the 1.5 way LSD but I cant stop roasting my tires from a dead stop. I roast them in 1st,2nd and part of 3rd. Is because I have just way too much power to the front wheels or what? I can't get a true 1/4 mile time because of all the tire roasting. If i upgrade the tires from sport to the racing tires (soft compound) will that help or what?

Tires will help you out the most.

0 camber
try lowering the front more
stiffen up the rear springs
turn TCS on lvl 1

Drag in gt pretty much sucks, esp with fwd cars.

Alright. I will try that. I also moved my weight all the way forward to see if that would help and nothing!

Also is the higher the setting or the lower the setting for stiffer springs?

higher is stiffer.

Also once you have the super soft racing tires, you have to get your launch down from the right rpm. You want to to hook without bogging or spinning. Also try launching in 2nd gear with no TCS.
