I have a 94 del sol s. Its currently burnin 2 qts of oil every 3000 miles (it has 170,000 on it). I figure its time for a new motor. I pretty much figured out that my budget will handle a d16z6 and not much more. I've done a few searches in the forums but can't seem to find a website that has this motor. If I'm not mistaken I can use the same tranny I have. I don't have any experience with this stuff, the only things I've done with the car is change the oil, fix exhaust, and chnge the fuel filter. I have no idea how to time an engine or anything like that. So besides education, what all would I need to do this swap? and if anyone could direct me to a site that has this motor at a good price, I would appreciate it.

Why not just rebuild the motor you have? If your really not interested in performance, just rebuild your current engine.
