heres an update on my rex.
i took the spark plugs out and cranked it. my friend said it looked like water was being burnt while i did it so i guess that was it. also when i took out the spark plugs, i noticed on the far right spark plug hole, that i was all brown and had a tiny bit of oil in there. i tried starting it up after cleaning off the spark plugs n shit, but it wouldnt start. it sounded like the distributor was having a problem. so i was about to leave, then i was like, dude im gunna try it one more time. i tried it again and it seemed like it wanted to start, so i was like hmm... so i kept trying to start it and it seemed like it got better each time, so finally after like 6 tries, it started up a lil bit i reved the engine and a LOT of black smoke came out, but i started, and i kept revving it, and it seemed ok to drive home. so i drove it home.
while driving it home, it seemed like it got better. i am burning gas (as usual though because my ECU chip makes me run rich). so i turned it off at my house, then started it up again, and it was fine. it runs like normal.

the only thing im worried about is, my car idles around 500 - 1000.
is that normal?
i havent had my alternator working for a while, i just fixed that problem a couple days ago so i forget where my idel should be.

should i replace my cap and rotor? get my car checked out? any ideas? do you guys think my car is ok?

Didn't see the new post, but look in your other post for the rest of the info, but BEFORE YOU DRIVE ANYWHERE, DO A COMPLETE OIL CHANGE INCLUDING FILTER!!!!!!!!:)
definately do that. and it couldn't hurt to get a new rotor of it's not alot of pain - it'll give you that peace of mind, ya know?

I'm glad you got it running! that's really cool

Blowing up model cars ok, but not the hot wheels! I collect them. I have over 3000 cars right now and my collection has been appraised at around $7500. It is one of my retirement plans - LOL. I have some cars worth over $150 each. There is one model hot wheel that only came out one year and they only made 1000 of them. Today it is worth over $2200. Wish I had a few of those! Makes you think twice before you go an blow up a hot wheel, eh?
