Hey guys i need some help. my buddy has a 88 CRX and it has an HF block and and D16Z6 head. all internals are hf. so we tried to get it to start with an EX ecu but it started then died like 5 sec later. then we took the ecu out of my 94 del sol si then we got it to start...any reason why? and then we got it to start but we had to bypass the fuel relay and then it started but it would idle about 1750 rpms then we reved it and it would got between 2200 and 1500 just up and down like it didnt know what to do. Could you help us out?

vacuum leak? the ecu out of the ex and the del sol si should be the same

we tried it on my del sol and it didnt work...so it was the y8 ecu not the z6 ecu...we thought that it was a vacuum leak but we cant find it... do u think that it could be the O2 sencor on the exaust manifoled?

okay a "y8" ecu is obdII, of course it didnt work, you need to be more specific when it comes to these things
and no i dont think that its an O2 sensor, never seen an O2 sensor do that on a honda
