HL2 substance is an addon mod that makes HL2 much better. It increases the dificulty by adding much more action to the levels. There are more civilans who roll with you and there are 10x the zombies and baddies.
Weapon skins have been changed and weapon sounds. .357 is burly. spas 12 is beefed up too. There are many little things that make it more fun to play.
Esp the ravenholm levels are nutty, some feel like a zombie movie. You roll out into the level and WHAM there are fuckin zombies all over the place. I was like ahhh and I backed up into some while blasting others. :lol
