Two questions.
1) What exactly doesn't work without the JDM ECU. I'd like it to work as advertised, because that would be cool as shit.
2) Does anyone know where I can see a picture of one Lit Up/On. I've never seen what the display looks like. Is it green like the digital dash?

holy shit that looks like a pain the ass to install, but that would looks sorta pimp. my climate control is all screwed up anyways. does anyone elses lights under the buttons work intermittently? also, my buttons work periodically and not often enough. how about them 4 dollar words eh? maybe this will be worth purchasing in my case? what all has to be done?

i know excatly how you feel. it takes like two days for the windshield defroster to turn to the vents. and on some days my headlights just turn off for no reason, then turn back on!!! think my prelude is possesed.

That Climate control looks bad ass man.

Especially in the dark! In fact, a copper pulled me over once (I thought "here we go..."), and put his head though my window (the glass was down!) and said "Wow...its a bloody disco in here", and then just stood there talking to me about my car. And I thought he was going to try and give me a ticket for something!

Hmm, I'm not sure what will & won't work. All I know is I asked my import guy and he said getting it to work in a US car would be a complete nightmare, due to different ECU's, sensors, wiring, etc.

I know several people have fitted the JDM climate control to US preludes, but I'm not sure if they've been 'fully' installed. It would be nice to find someone who has done this and then get them to do an installation guide. I've love to be able to put that guide on my website because I've had several people ask me this before...

Getting the JDM CC to light up and to turn on is a piece of cake.
Having it control the fan is not that difficult.
But, having it control the temperature is another story.
The JDM CC uses a electrical switch to control the actuator motors on the heating core where as the USDM CC uses a manual slider.

Not just light up.
He also does the install if you're near him.

My friend got the JDM Climate Control put in his Lude and from what he said they went through hell. Better find someone who can do the wiring correctly.

yah i got one too but you can get anything to work it just need the motor to control the temp setting which is run by a cable plus you have around 30 wires on the jdm unit and 15 on the usdm one hahaha try matching that up i spoke with CAZ from honda prelude.com and he sed that he is a ex-ferrari mechanic and that he would charge 1000 buck part incl to install it hahaha that was funny i am from vancouver i would drive down there and do it for that much but anyhow he was a nice guy and in terms of the climate control look pimp but a bitch to install.
