It seems to me since the RSX is now going away and the new Civic Si and Civic Type-R that will be comming out, that Acura is going into the Higher end luxuary Cars. and Honda is going to keep the Zippy Sports compacts like they do in Japan.

So with this said when well we get a newer version of the Integra, Prelude, Del Sol, NSX, and S2000.

Correct me if im wrong but isn't Acura now sold world wide? unlike when Acura, Lexus and infinti first got Split from there Host companies Honda, Toyota, Nissan.

ismael-robert's correct about everything, including
the S2000. Check out late '92 editions of C&D or R&T,
the one with the "concept" of the next CRX on the
cover. Also, the Sol just couldn't "hang" with the Miata
in the "true" sports car market; thus the S2000 replaced
it.
EDIT: The Sol's a better car than any CRX, IMO, unless
it's one of those JDM glass roof ones with a B18 in it.
The Sol'll still look sexier, though, and the interior's
far greater then any CRX. Of course, there's no vast
storage room, but I don't give a shit about that.

X2 Yeah thats my boy ksniper...thats how we do bro. It couldn't hang with the Miata UNTILL the VTEC was released, then the situation changed a bit.

miatas are setup better...suspension-wise. So stock for stock I believe the miata would own on a track. I'm not hating on the sol at all...hell, I've had two and am currently looking for another. It's an awesome car, but it would have been awesome to have had it setup a little better from the factory :)

Still don't believe me? Still think that the S2000 was blueprinted and put into production to compete with the Mazda Miata is the American market? Didn't think so. There is so much wrong with the notion that the S2000 replaced the sol and the argument isn't even worth my effort.

Both cars have a double wishbone suspension, but the Miata is ligher and has better weight distribution.

I think Honda gave a "wink and a nod" to the "heritage"
aspect, but, in reality, they saw market share slipping
away to Mazda, since the only "sporty" car they had
was the delsol. IMO, the S2000 was a direct replacement
to it, and designed for those people looking at the Miata:
RWD, convertable, high power, TRUE sports car.
