Off the Alternator or to the battery, it's the same thing. That is where the alternator connects to anyhow. So you will be able to see the charging voltage when she's running.

One thing that annoys me about Honda is the lack of instrumentation on the dash. Voltmeter and Oil Pressure would be two really nice additions to the guage cluster.

I'm pretty sure Honda uses an Idiot Light for voltage, but I'm not 100% positive. I'd have to check my manual. And they do have an idiot light for Oil Pressure of course.

Still having both is the best way to go. It's nice to see all the analog needles moving around when you drive and you really get a good feel for engine as well. I miss those two from my last car, something I might add in the future.
