Hey There!
I am looking at a Starion Intercooler and He says it's the high flow one. How can you tell?? I know some of them have 16 rows of fins and others have 14 rows. If you could just. I don't know what year it is out of because I know the 89 starions are better but does anyone know how many fins to look for???
Thanks in advance

look for the 16 magic number. Also make sure the guy show you the FRONT of the IC. Some ppl only show the back, which is always in mint condition...BTW 16 rows Starions IC flow much better with enhanced cooling capacity...

This one has 14 rows but it is MINT and I can get it for a 150. I am only boosting 6psi to 7Psi on my greddy turbo so I don't know if it will make that much difference. Is there that much difference????
Thanks

nah for 6 psi you could hook a small DSM IC and it would do the job..150$ is a lil expensive for 1st gen starion IC...I got my 89' for 160$ and it was almost brand new. Well, that IC will do the job, no doubt about it, the 16 simply has more cooling capacity. Its up for you but either way its a good IC.

Thanks for the info

ok, the psi doesnt matter all that much... its the size of the turbo... then you need to look at the psi... im running 15 psi on my t-25... everyone gets scared when i tell them 15 psi... they base it on the bolt on turbo kits... 15psi is crap on stock eclipse turbos...remember that...

No I am not buying from ebay, I was just looking on there to compare some prices. Mine is a greddy td-04 turbo on a sohc civic. I'd like to put my boost up to 7 psi after I get the intercooler. I ran 5.5 psi all last year with no intercooler. So I want to get this to help prevent detonation and hopefully put the boost up to 7psi. Is there a noticeable difference after you put an intercooler on???
Thanks for your help guys!
