i tried to transfer a video onto a flashdrive but couldn't find where.

You can't transfer replay vids to your flash drive, only photo's.

Videos must be captured using a video capture card.

You can be sure, however, that GT5 will feature this function, I'm positive. Though it will probably be a proprietary format, and not a standard format on PC's (i.e. avi, mpg4, etc).

But, the ability to transfer replays will become significantly easier with GT5 (or wahtever the next GT will be named).
