i just wanted to pass this one by everyone. have any of you thought that some si's run better than others. i know a lot of it is who is driving but most of my friends are pretty good drivers. i have raced quite a few si's some were stock and some have had just about every bolt on you can think of. i have beated ones with all sorts of stuff and i have even been beat by a bone stock one to where you know its not the driver. but for the most part i have only been beaten by 3 si's. i have beaten 8 of them some where good races and others were a discrace. i just wanted to get other people's thoughts on this subject.

its natural. some engines are better than others. For example, the infamous b18c5...depending on the hand port and polish there are different characteristics the engine can take up in different areas...
my si runs like shiet... and its not the driver... its just a peice... im taking it for ALOT of maintenence here shortly... possibly a new tranny cuz sometimes it feels like it slips

Hey I'm in Lancaster. You should join us by Hershey park for some of our regional autocrosses.
I've seen some run mid 16's, then others run mid 15's. I guess it has a little bit to do with both the car, and the driver.

I often wonder if how the car was treated during the break in period has anything to do with how the car the car performs now???

Isn't lancaster close to Allentown. Thats about 45 min. away
yeah harrisburg is about 45 mins away from where i live... so about an hour and 45 mins or 2 hours depending on how you drive...
