As I am building my hatch from the ground up I have thought about a new set of lower control arms but forgive me for being noobish but I honestly dont see the point?

by lowering you change the suspension geometry. a good LCA should adjust the geometry so that the springs and struts will be more effective. another reason is weight savings.

I know you are a suspension guy, I ordered a dc sports rear tie bar and plan to get a front strut bar. With these I plan to also get a set of LCA's and a decent Tein shock/strut package nothing crazy but are there anythings else I can look to do?

What LCA's do you suggest? I read in SCC a while back
that lowering negatively effects the suspension geometry,
especially for double wishbone suspensions, and always
wondered if I could improve things. Mine's only about
an inch and a half, but better's still better.

Maybe it's just me, but when I see someone's car that has LCA's, I think they have a good idea of what is the correct way to build a car.
HAHA! Damn! And I thought I was "in the dark" :lol2.
Right now I have stock, (well, Integra's, since my Si
didn't come with a rear swaybar). Always up on improving
that "go-kart" feel, though :w00t!

No, some people only mod there cars with horsepower parts. Plus its real pretty to look under the back of a car and see some gold or polished aluminum LCA's.
