I wouldn't spray more then 15 seconds.

But I suppose the real answer is really depending on your setup. Watch your temp and EGT gauge and make sure there's no detonation.

well spraying, i should be in the 15's, so i wouldnt do it for much longer than 15 seconds. whats EGT? yeah ill definately watch my temp gauge. if i do run it for a whole 1/4, should i let it cool down for a bit before the next run?

I have always sprayed for the full 1/4 mile with no problems. anything under 17 seconds of spray should be fine

Yea spraying your entire quarter mile shouldn't be a problem. Although traction in first might be.

And EGT stands for Exhaust Gas Temperture. A good gauge to have. It a much better warning for running lean then a narrowband A/F gauge like most people have.

dont alot of systems have a computer that makes sure the AF ratio doesnt get dangerous?

I believe Venom's system does have that. The other's just spray a predetermined amount of fuel all the time. Your ECU will also add more fuel for the addition air. So generally it is safe. But spray for long enough and I guarantee your engine will get hot enough to do damage. You shouldn't have a problem.

Also, please tell me your using a wet shot.

yeah its a wet shot system. would it help if i turn the heat on while spraying to help the engine stay cool?

even if it does have that function it wont be really accurate w/o a wideband o2.

quarter mile passes, thats what nitrous is made for.
