..thought this was a good idea for a thread to also prove reliability of the good ol' d series. State your year/model/engine code also. I think i might have the most miles ftw! :hehe

thats what kills me, i got my rex with 130k, the guy i got it off of got it with about 50k on it, and he liked to cruise at about 4-5k rpms, so going through town he would be in second gear. He beat the shit out of it. then when i got it i beat the shit out of it for over 100k. I think today with 263k on that car if i would have never hydro locked that engine it still wouldn't burn oil lol. it just couldn't be stopped, until i fed it all the water it could drink :lol

I've had 4 hondas over 200k miles and neither of them ever gave me problems. I had a 97 civic 4 door with a d16y7 that I got from my mom who bought it brand new and did good preventative maintanance by changing the oil ever 5-15,000 lol and at 180k when I was done with it, it still ran like a champ. There's a video on youtube of a bunch of ******** trying to kill a civic. They hold it at rev limiter for like 3 minutes and nothing happens so they started pouring like beer and bleach in the crankcase and that d15 kept going at rev limiter! Its crazy ill have to find it I think its called how to kill a civic

93 dx sedan 105,000 and I actually had to replace the engine because it burned so much oil, it was doing this when I got it so don't blame me lol. I have no idea how many miles were on the new d15b7 because there was no gauge cluster in it and the owner of the junkyard didn't keep a record of it, solid though for 200 bucks.

I have a 2000 D16Y8 with 190000 miles on it or 305000KM. Runs almost like new. I change the oil every 4000 miles religously. My first honda was an 86 civic that I had until 280000 miles. Had to let her go because the body rotted off. :( Love my Honda!

I have 245,500km on my 99 Civic Si (d16y8). So how many miles is that, like 160k ish. It still runs like a champ too. Latly it will bog sometimes, but I think I really need a new airfilter, so tomorrow and firday I am just doing some maintanence and it should be fine :). I was gonna boost it but decided to buy a project 240sx instead, now I just gotta find one :ninja lol
