talkin' the 84-87 model years. Love the cars. Anyway, dispite the popularity of the B series swap made easy by HAsport, I am going all out on my stock EW4 SOHC 12 V 1.5l powerplant.
Currently, I am running a modest list of mods that would choke just about any Honda Tuner. the engine isn't in the car yet, it's sitting on the freaking bench while I convert my carb fuel and electrical system to the FI system.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, give you a little history and future.

Don't have a pic yet. It's white, dropped 3" on Eibach springs and feathery 16" Kosei Seneka wheels. Looking for a good way to draw attention, thinking chassis lights, in blue, to match the interior neon lighting already stalled from streetglow.
oh, and most the other guys in the car club I belong to, call me a ricer, and I admit, I love the way my car looks and I can still waist most of them. So, call me a ricer if you want, just don't bet any money on the race, ok?

i have a Q regarding carbed injection.

Why is the dx engine (don't remember the block number) so fast? I know some racer uses it... ed something or other and he pulls faster times than with mpfi on a d16a6. Any helpers?

You can get great power out of the DX motor when using dual side draft carbs. You'll want to use the Si head (for flow) and oil pan (for free-flowing aftermarket headers), though. I'm sure there's other bits of custom work involved, too. Search the archives of the CRXmk1 list at groups.yahoo.com. Please be advised that, although carbs are a great, time-proven way to make power, they are also a time-proven way to ensure your car won't start and run when it's cold and/or your car won't make a run through the mountains w/o careful tuning on the side of the road-- along the way. Nothing is free. -scott

on one of the other boards i got Honda-tech.com there is a guy there with a dx block si head and a quad carb setup and he loves it. the quad carbs made alot more power on the dx motor for him. ive never delt with any carb on a 4 cyl. only v8s but i imagine that its the same deal u can tune it without th e ecu fuckin things up for u. and the quad carbs make a equal length intake runners also for better flow
