Its around 3-4. I think 3.5 is optimum. Remember not to fill it more than 4, you could seriously damage your engine.
sup?

check your oil agen, when you start up your car it will take more oil so put in 3 then start it for 10 secounds and wate a lil while then check agen,

the oil filter ect.. needs to fill up

good luck
check your owners manual. if you dont have one, put like 3 quarts in and start it up, check the dip stick, then add or subtract occordingly. draining a little can be a bitch, so just add a little at a time then start it up and check the dipstick, dipstick.
yeah 3.5 is right im pretty sure
or if your me the oil pressure from my turbo screwed my old gasket . then you have 0 quarts in your engine :D well not after tomorrow anyway
i usually use 3.6 and use the rest of the 4th quart for fill ups after 1k and 2k miles to keep the oil level right.
I think 3.5 for my LX.

It tells you in the manual if you have one. Mine is in the car at the moment.

3.5 is the oil capacity on the civic. Got it straight from the Chiltons manual, so now ya know.
i believe it's 3.6 if you replace the filter :)
I use 4.2 quarts with new filter 4 if just oil.
Why would you put in JUST oil without changing the filter? Dirty filter with new oil . . .bah. . .POINTLESS. Besides, filters are cheap.
yeah, at least non mobil 1... mobil 1's cost 11.49 at autozone
Yeah if you are a cheap ass and don't get the good AMS oil filter. cheap ass

You have never heard of AMS oil! It is designed from airplane lubricants. It lasts longer than standerd oil, but costs three times the price.
3.5 quarts for a 1.6 :) check your manual. and oem filter baby! :D :D :D
now that u mention it it does sound familiar. i don't have my manual with me but i'm 99% sure it says 3.6l if you have a replaced filter. you're talking about the 6th gen right?
ya, and well I change my oil every month so I don't know.... your oil is the lifeblood of the car, but just change it every 3k miles and your good to go :D
