I do every 10000miles... (6-8 months?)

How do you clean the filter on a cold air AEM?

For me NEVER have yet. Been about 6 months since I put it on.
About to sell it so I guess it doesn't matter....

To clean it...use K&N Air filter Recharger kit. (u could buy it in local automotive store)

Follow instruction very carefully...u will be very fine.

Some air filters dont come out w/ pre-oiled.

u need to use this kit to protect the filter cotton gaze or better efficent.

Any comment about k&n kit would be pleased.

52k miles and i haven't cleaned it yet.. it still feels pretty well oiled whenever i check on it though. . . maybe i'll recharge it at 60k... gotta be careful not to oil it too much

uh.... woops.. heh i heard of the k&n recharger... sheezy oiled huh... never knew that... so thats why its kinda shiny inside

Every time I change my oil, I clean and reoil my DC Sports DAC filter too.

I would say clean it every 6-8 months if you have a CAI, once a year for SRI.
