how do u reset the ecu on a 96 civic ex? thanks

2. Remove the BACK UP fuse (7.5A) from the under-hood fuse/relay box for 10 secondsto reset the TCM or PCM.
3. Turn the ignition ON, and set the radio presets.

Resetting ECU steps...

1. Disconnect neg. battery cable while car is off for 5 minutes..

2. Put cable back on. Start car, but don't rev; let idle for more than five mins so your ECU can collect all data.

3. Turn off car, then start up again and drive like normal.

From what I understand the cpu relearns your car every so often to make sure it is still doing its job. So when you install a new mod all have to do is let is sit for a while idling and it will relearn the car.

Where did you find that in the Helms??

I am going to check my Helms in the morning and reset my ECU!
