I was wondering if anyone has bought and fitted some hp racing coil overs and put them on a 95 civic ex coupe. I bought some and put them on but now my car seems to bounce uncontrolably (sp) when i hit a bump. If anyone else has this prob or knows how to fix it or what is proboly wrong let me know.
Thanks.

I HAD THOSE.

When HP racing first came on the scene.
I got them at nopi, the guy said they were as good as ground controls.

GOD, they suck.
By car was so bouncy I busted a Tokico illumina.
Didn't want to drive my baby till I could take em off.

if you dont like those, you wont like the skunk2's either, they are stiff as fuck and will be bouncy as all hell....so will ground controls if you dont have suffiecient aftermarket shocks (like thinking you'll be fine running coilover sleeves on tokico blues is a joke)

yea definitly go with tein or tanabe..apexi something on the line of that if you need adjustablility...crap I am almost thinking that springs and aftermarket shocks suck. Only way to go these days is true coilovers with shortened shocks....they ride way better! and never have to worry about bottuming a shock out.

Is it not good to use tokico blue shocks with coilovers? That is what I was going to do.
the tokico blues are nothing but stock replacements.
they arent any stronger than a stock strut or shock.
i had them on my car along with H&R race springs
and the ride was very bouncy and the front struts blew
after 10k miles.
they wont last long with a high rate spring or with race springs.
go for some heavy duty shocks like Bilstein HD, koni yellows,
kyb agx or the tokico illuminas
