I know this might sound stupid but I’m planning on buying a used honda civic for under 5k CAD for my first car because I need something to get me around. I was looking on Autotrader and found a 2006 for 2k.
Is that a bad idea? I’m planning on paying with cash.

It sounds like a good deal. I’ve owned three Civics (and other Hondas) and have gotten 150-220k miles before I sold them to someone else, and those people continued driving them. They’re great cars, especially with standard transmissions. How many miles does it have on it?
