i have found better prices on other sites, but this is the setup i would like. Also, i am not sure if i should get aftermarket speakers, any suggestion would be helpful.

The two eclipse link dont work but I already know the specs to them. Yea eclipse are great product. What about the speaker?

yea about the speakers, i didnt know if i would need any but, i went to circuitcity and talked to a friend and he said that an amp hooked up to stock speakers would blow them. In addition, i compared the eclipse subs to these http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/147567/rpem/ccd/productDetailSpecification.do#tabs and they sounded alot better. i was thinking that i could just have an amp for the subs, but, if the bass overpowers the speakers, then i would have to get aftermarket ones.

If you are spending $800 on a heat unit, $300 on the amp and $400 on the sub/box, you are REALLY shooting yourself on the foot if you are not planning to upgrade the speaker along with an amp to power it. I know you said you can get it for a little bit cheaper, but that is still A LOT of money and not wanting to complete it.

You are building a SQ setup. The worst thing to do is not to finish it.

tru^^^ but you can always add a component set and another amp later......and rears if you want that. but in SQ, the sound stage should be in front.....but to each his own i guess :rolleyes

Well are u going for a system that ppl can hear you from the next block or just want a little thump in the trunk? And aren't there any better sound shops where u live besides circuit shitty? Eclipse has good shit don't get me wrong but sometimes their lower end auido equipment doesn't perform up to par. You are also going to be underpowering ur subs with that amp that u have.. . you might run into overheating problems especially in the mid summer months. As for highs/mids.. you'll need some even if they are entry level 2-ways or 3-ways b/c the subs will drown everything else.. . depending on what type of music u listen to. rap. . yes. . rock. . not as bad in some cases.
IMO not a bad start for a setup but it needs some more research.

Ooo and don't forget to save up a lil bit extra for all the other BS to wire up a system.

OK, thanks guys alot for all the help.FIRST OFF circuit city is not shitty, its just expensive. Now, I greatly apperciate all ur help. I got my system these r specs :
1. subs- infinity kappa perfect VQ , two 12 inch.
2.amp- 1200 Watt Class D Subwoofer Amplifier
3.head unit- pioneer avh-5700dvd.

I really like this system it kicks hard and sounds great. Surprisingly to me, the stock speakers were fine, but I will upgrade my highs. and best off all i got it all proffesionally installed for FREE(saved 300$).
