Hey everyone, first post on the new forum. I'm not really sure because I haven't followed this all too closely, but is the new I-Vtec motor that will be in the CiViC si the same motor that is in the RSX? I believe it is also in the CRV.

Will this motor fit under a 6gen hood?

Thanks for the info guys.

I think this topic actually deserves a fair amount of discussion. I mean, sure I could just go buy the new Si, but what if i dont like the way it looks? The new motor features something that no Honda motor prior has ever featured, (I-Vtec) and I think that relatively little is known about the potential of this motor in comparison to B-Series or D-Series motors. Difficult swap, i understand that may be true, but not impossible, and for that reason I think its worth a thought.

Anything is possible if u have the money. I admire that u want to drop in the K-series motor in your 6G Civic. I got flamed by a lot of ppl for wanting to drop a H22 in my 6G. To tell U the truth, I-VTEC isn't the greatest thing. In a few years, Honda will be coming out with their I-VTEC with Lift. Like the Toyota VVTI-L meaning Varible Valve Timing Intelligence with Lift. If U do get the motor in, and it fits perfectly in there. U still have the issue with the ECU. It is not juss plug and play like some of the other swaps. But If u do find out more about , let me know.
