I have 97 civic ex with I/E/H, Cam gear, pullies I had to get a new transmission i have no clue what transmission the guy put into my car. In my old trans. i could only go to 115 in 4th now i can go 120 with a couple 100 rpm left before red line can anybody help me find out what transmission the mechanic put into my car thanks alot

the DX/LX/CX has longer gears, that's probably the one you have.

My car is not a auto i had a 5 sp in my EX and only went one 115 in 4th with this trans it goes to 120, i tried going past that and it cut off. But its accelation in first and second gear really sucks. with the old trany i could kill a Si now i cant... it seems its better for high way racing.. The ID code of the trans was ripped off so ihave no clue.....

I think he means because our cars are so god damn slow, that it takes a long time to get to 100.

wtf does that mean? will take you to top speed? you mean in 4th you will hit the gov? in a dx, 4th is @ 118 and the gov. is at around 120.... so that statment is FALSE!
