run the cel code and that may tell you the problem...it could be completely unrelated to the valve adjustment..but you also may have adjusted them too tight.
The cel code is a misfire on #2, but it didn't start until I adjusted the valves. Would the valves being adjusted to tight cause that?

too tight or too loose could cause problems starting...but..if the car didnt start until after you adjsuted the valves..you may have compounding problems...which a misfire on 2 is telling me you ma have a bad plug, bad plug wire..broken electrode in the dizzy cap..or it could be a bad pickup in the dizzy...
My Crx is having idle problems.. We have narrowed it down the the fast idle valve.. BUT the check engine light is on. and it kicked on the same time i started having idle trouble.. could that valve be turning the engine light on? i'm trying to sell this car because i just bought a knew one.. any input would be appreiciated!

if the idle is messed up it will throw a code..run the code..it could be something totally different though

just make sure your plug wire is tight..maybe you didnt push it down far enough. maybe no parts are needed
