How many people do we have on the board from Illinois, or the Chicagoland area? Anyone from central Illinois? Anyone go to U of I in champaign?

Well, autocrossing season is going to start in march, and theres going to be hella events here at u of i, and the surrounding area. we have 3 venues hosting the events this season. im trying to get some other luders to participate. SO- if you live here (in central illinois) or if youre closer to chicago, but you want to come for the events, I CAN give anyone a place to stay for the night/weekend (during the event). I have a bunch of friends coming up already, but the more the merrier-especially luders. I believe the first event is the weekend of the 24th, they usually have the autocrosses on saturday and sunday. im not 100% on that date, but if anyones interested in comin, please post.

but even if youre not interested in autocrossing, post a reply if youre from IL.

I go here at big U of I. Which lude do you drive? I see a black 5gen with dual exhaust that looks/sounds awesome, is that you by any chance? I've seen a few ludes on campus. I don't have mine yet, but should be gettin it very soon. I would definitely LOVE to go to one of these, and see what its all about. AIM me at kungfuwoo777 if you want. from glenview/skokie area..dont have a lude yet but im looking around...btw..is there any way to decipher between a h22(non-vtec) and h23 engine just by looking at it? coz i went to this used car dealer and found a lude there..the guy didnt know sh*t about preludes..i corrected him on a lot of things..they even claimed it to be a 94..but its really a 93..he says its a 2.2 not vtec but i really cant trust him..so if theres a way.. any sure way to distinguish..please help!

Speaking of not knowing shit about preludes, the H22A1 is a 2.2L DOHC VTEC motor. You can tell the difference between the H23A and H22A by the valve covers, the redline on the tach, the engine code stamped on the block, or run the VIN #.

We have about 50 ludes already. The club is called Chicago Prelude Club. There's a bunch of us that are already planning to go autocrossing but first we're going to meet up all together and take pics and all that stuff. We already had our first meet on Feb 2 before world of wheels. We're also planning on meeting up before we go to hot import nights in june.

The H22A is around 7400, the H23A is about 6800, and I'm not sure on the F22.

1BadLude, we did about two weeks ago, but then again it was also nice too. im still waitn to roll my car back out in a few weeks right now. hopefully maybe next week it'll be nice, but i think that this weekend is gonna be shitty so i doubt there will be any.
