im tryin to import a jdm right hand drive type r and i was wondering if anyone knew of any websites to look at to do it.i want to import one from japan and not europe tho b/c of japans cheap prices.also does anyone know of what all you have to go through to get the car registered and are there any special licenses you need to drive a right hand drive car in the u.s.thanks for the help
hey mofo.....YOSI at J-GARAGE is mah boi!!!!.............good prices on cars........but there is a lot of costs involved........and you wont be able to get it smoggable due to the fact that we dont have a comparable model here
find someone in japan to take the car apart. ship the engine, interior, and body in separate crates. when it gets here... wallah! you have a kit car that you can register as a kit car. no special licensing/smog/bullshit required.
i heard from a buddy of mine, that if you have a right hand drive car and want to drive it in the US you need to convert it to a left hand drive within a year.
i'm sure there are ways around it though.
good luck
