I know a lot of people here like Initial D, and a lot of you guys think it is not real. Maybe not in the US but in HK and some part in Japan it is as real as it can get.

Check this out: RX7 vs. Skyline.mpeg

It is an 8.09Mb, 2 minutes clip. To download your connection have to be at least as fast as your car. But I can guaranty you would regret the wait after you see it.

Drifting is pretty easy...especially if you grew up in the midwest learning to drive rear-wheel drive cars (as I did).

I drove a supercharged Ford Thunderbird from the time I was 13 (got my license in south dakota at 14), till I was 17(when I moved to San Diego).

Everybody used to go out on snowy roads, or when it was raining and "powerslide" around corners, or just drift side to side down straight lines.

[Just cuz I had that t-bird, doesn't mean I didn't love working on Honda and Nissan engines...which I have, ever since my first look at an issue of Sport Compact Car back in '94...so don't bust my balls about rollin a domestic back in the day]

That video looks realy, realy, similar to what we used to do through intersections and highway/freeway on ramps late at night....almost completely sideways all the way though.

Drifiting existed long before inital D. There are Japanese movies you can buy that feature drift races with a lot of tight cars.
Do you know where can I get those movies? I went back to HK last summer and got all Initial D stages, some Best Motoring, and some Options. But I never see any drift racing movie.
