I am looking for information on installing Roof-Rails on the 2018 Acura RDX.
I have a 2018 Acura RDX with a "Bare" roof from the factory (No rails for attaching cross/load bars).
I am looking to get a set of rails installed.
Based on my research, it appears that I need to REMOVE and CUT the factory roof molding that runs along the roof of the car from front to back and bolt this kit to the car.
The part number is: 08L02-TX4-200A
Any thoughts? Has anyone done this job DIY -?
Acura wants $950 before tax for parts and labor. Which I assume works out to about $500 for the OEM rails and $400 for 4 hours of labor (which indicates to me they expect to do some cutting)
