Just like the title says. I had this problem a few days ago and somone told me that I should just move my crank between tdc and bdc, because they thought it was just my valve that was hitting the top of my piston. But, I just got a chance to work on my car today and I tried that, but it still doesn't work. I just loosened up my cam holders and I could move it. But there is still great difficulty in doing so. Also, once I tighten those cam holders down, I probably won't be able to move the cam again. Anyone here work with LS engines alot??? Maybe I got the wroong rocker arms in the wrong side??? This is very frustrating. It's the only damn thing that's holding me back from finishing my damn car!!!!!!!

P.S. - FYI, I just got my head back on and am trying to align everything to TDC so I can get my timing belt back on.

If you look on the cam there is holes lined up with cam journals , I stick drill bit s in them to hold the cams in place. Use them that is what they are designed for.

That's not the problem dude. I've gotten everything aligned up to the point of TDC, but my intake cam won't move at all.

It's like I've got it all on now, but when I turn my crank, the timing belt keeps slipping off because the intake cam won't budge.

Do you need to just move the intake cam? About how many degrees.

Ok, that's not the problem. I just took off my cam caps and just turned it to TDC. But the problem remains, that the cam still won't move. The belt will just keep slipping. I am just hoping that a regular valve adjustment will fix this. Hopefully, it's just the clearances that are off.
