My friends 89 Civic with 1.5l sohc motor, with head work, and some other goodies, a 15.6 sec n/a civic, but when he shoots 50 hes running 14.6, then he tried to uppen it up to 60 and blew the thing up!! if he had enough fuel supply he would've been fine, so now hes rebuilding and installing larger injectors, pump, igniton system, he's gonna be running 75 shot on that 1.5 liter motor this summer!

He was in Super Street readers ride section.

If you wanna run 75 on a civic motor, you prolly want to have upgraded igniton and fuel delivery system. Also good air flow and exhaust flow. I think 75 is max on stock block civics.

I have a 94 Delsol S witch has the D15B1 in it and I was runnin the Zex 75 shot with an Apex cat back, intake, nology wires, MSD coil, 2 degree colder plugs, with my fuel at 42 psi at idle. I was doing 17's with out it and 15's with it. I never had a problem with it at all.

Then I sold it to a guy with a 2.2 cavalier and his timing belt slipped as he was shooting it racing a firebird. Blew his engine and I started laughin my ass off.:p

my 60 shots is doing good but i dont wanna jinx myself.so far its good. i think u peeps should keep it at 50-60 shots.dont knoe y peeps risk it with a 75 shot jet. but mines a dry system.dats enough to eat up dohc vtec cars so im satisfied. some wierd reason my clutch still isnt slipping yet. which is wierd. do u guys no why?im car is still pulling when i squeeze.

Dude shorten your sig please!!!!!!!!! I dont care about rear seat removal, spare tire removal for weigh reduction!!!!!!!!! Red Racing pedals for handling???

Hey...my friend with DOHC VTEC car wants to race you because he doesn't think you can "eat up" his B16A. We'll be more than happy to meet you up half way, or if you wanted to make the field trip to Santa Barbara, we'd gladly give you fifty bucks for gas if you win. Let me know, aight?

I was running 75 shots with a dry ZEX kit last summer.

My specs were...

D16Y8 - Stock block
B&M CommandFlo FPR
255 LPH fuel pump. Walbro I believe.
MSD Digital 6 Plus Ignition set to 4.2 Degrees MSD Blaster SS Ignition Coil
retard while spraying.
NGK BKR7E-11 Spark Plugs gapped at .030"
75 Shots of ZEX, Twin Bottles.

I have a b18c1 in my 95 hatch and im spraying 75 shot wet using a plate kit. The motor is doing fine but i don't know if it will work with a d15. I have only a cold air intake, apex dunk cat with some bosch platimum 4 spark plug and using full synthetic.

Lose the bosch platinum 4's and get some ngk bkr7e-11, or the equivilent of that. Not trying to tell you how to mod your car, but have heard and seen too many horror stories where the platinum eletrode melts and causes many, many problems.

What quarter mile times do you run with 75hp? Do you run slicks? I have a 92 htch with a 96 b18c1. I have an upgraded ignition (Jacobs I.C.E. Pak) and an ACT SS clutch with a HD plate. Street tires. I run 13.9's with a 55HP zex. I want to run 75HP! Is it worth it???

yeah with all the mod u got, 75 shot is at ease. I have less mod then you do so your motor should be worth it. I have obd1, i don't know about yours because it obd2. But the gsr will withstand 100 shot if you adjust the fuel and the timing right. Im installing a gsr fuel pump to better the fuel when using nos. I ran a 13.8 without slick.
