my ferind dose not have that much money right now. he has an ex car that he has a hole in the ex block.I have a dx block. If i put the ex head on the dx block will i have to do the same as the ls/vtec. Is there a web site for sohc head swops

You won't get much more than the bragging rights of having a VTEC. Basically you will have an EX engine.

yeah its the mini-me swap fun to do but not really worth it fr only a 20 hp increase just do a b-series swap

I agree save your money for a total b or h engine.

it'll actually be a few more horses than an ex engine because dx engine has higher cr pistons.

I had a friend that did it in his backyard...worked fine, but his check engine light stayed on..he said it was because he had no knock sensor. But the VTEC ecu's use the knock sensor when it activates the vtec..For what reason I dont know, but it takes the knock sensors info before activating the vtec.
