i have an automatic civic ex? is it possible to change to a manual and if so how much trouble and money?

Nope sorry it’s not possible once you get an auto you’re stuck with it for life

Sure you can you will need
A tranny
Clutch pedal setup
All the clutch stuff “master cylinder and the likes”
Shift linkage
Center console
And the
5 speed ECU

Dont forget the drill...& the manual gearbox. Imagine fitting the pedals N stuff only to find the autobox still there....

yes it's worth it. i'm doing mine too. The parts are costing me around $1700, and 500 for labor. I might do it myself though, I own a shop here in newnan, ga. But unless I'm getting paid for an install I'm usually not motivated enough to do it... HAHAH

Anyway, here's what I'm getting:
D series manual Tranny
ODBII Manual ECU
all clutch hydraulics, Master/Slave Cylinders
Shift linkage, shift knob, pedal set,
manual gearbox (all this has already been listed)
Manual Instrument Cluster.... you don't want your new
5speed having gauges that read P, R, D4, D3, 2...
ACT Xtreme Pressure Plate
New release bearings/pilot bearings
Lightened 9 pound flywheel
ACT 6 pad disk

I did this in my 97 civic and my center console had the mounting points for the shift boot. So i can say that at least on 6th gen civics you dont need the center console.
