ITR in Automatic?!

They're Not that different.

A sunroof? Either aftermarket install or it's just not an R. If they installed it they missed the point of the car altogether anyway AND they have compromised the structural integrity of the car too.

Auto? Never heard of it and as far as I know or have seen there have never been any Automatic transmissioned ITR's ever produced from the factory, it just goes against the R's meaning to have it be auto. I guess they could have installed an auto transmission but, Why?

there are a lot of imitation DC2 R's around although I know a Vtir=GSR for you guys in the USA that has a B18C JDM engine in his and full conversion (5 Stud conversion, brakes, cosmetics etc etc) and cant tell them apart although it will never be a real DC2...

to answer your question, I have never heard of a DC2 in automatic transmission!

I agree. As for the sunroon, there are actually quite a few R's that have had sunroofs added. I'm not a fan, and I would never buy one of them, but they're real. I have NEVER heard of a real R having an auto transmission, either from the factory or aftermarket.

I know a guy that has a sunroof added to his R although i feel that it lowers chassis rigidity in some degree....he is happy with it and i guess to each his own.

If it's automatic, is NOT a Type R. And like the other guys said, he could have added a sunroof, but why would you do that? Both of which defeat the purpose of the car.

sunroofs you can get automatic transmission you cant!....

Well, I know that you can get it with a sunroof in Austrailia, but not sure in Canada. I know here in the US for sure, no sunroof nor auto trany.

I worked in a shop where sunroofs were installed and let me tell you something. No matter who does it or how much you pay, they will eventually leak and down the road rust as well. No matter what anyone says, its true.

I could never own a car without a sunroof! Sucks that Acura didn't offer if from the factory. Didn't even have to be electric if the weight is what your worried about. Makes the car so dark on the inside. Also, after the car is washed and you cannot open your windows, the sunroof is the only way for some fresh air, not in the R.

Someone doesn't care about road racing or auto-x, that's apparent.

Nor are they over 6'-0" tall ...........

I'm 5'8" and would never auto-x my car regularily.
I life my life a quarter mile at a time, lol. What a dumb line, haha.
I want a street car thats go and show. Gotta have both, and the sunroof is part of the show.
