i posted in the classifieds so i hope this one doesn't get shut down. but please don't!! it's on autotrader here:

the car is in excellent mechanical condition. i take great care of her but it's time to move on. i bought a 01 CR-V. i'm also getting too old for the scene. i'm tired of worrying about her when i go to the mall or to a club. i'm always affraid that she's going to get broken into or vandalized. people hate it when you have a nicer car than they do. i think that is a reasonable starting point. there was a bone stock 97 for 14K in my area so i might even raise my starting price. so if there's anyone in the Buffalo, NY area that is interested or knows someone who is looking for a prelude, pass the word on. my car has virtually every bolt on. the buyer doesn't have to do anything except chang the oil and put in gas. i have no interest in parting the car out. the car is for sale as-is. so please don't email or post asking to buy my parts. this has been a great forum to post in but i won't leave. thanks again to all.

actually, kelly blue book up here in with a buffalo zip code is just over 12k. the winters kill retail value of cars. i went a little high with my price because (1) there are other 5th gens in my area, totally stock, asking over 14k, and (2) i'm in no hurry to sell it. i know this is the worst time to sell it, so if i don't sell it tomorrow, i can sit on it until spring. i just want to make it known that it is available. as for selling the parts, i remember either you or some others told me the same thing. i really don't feel like going through the hassle of shipping all of those parts. i have A LOT of parts to take out, list, and try to sell. i'd rather get rid of the car the way it is. i'm just going to stay pretty firm on my price. i'm not going lower than 17k. i don't care if some one waves cash in my face, 17k is the lowest i'm going. thanks for the advice anyway.

plus one other thing. the reason why my price is a little higher is because i'm selling all of the old parts with the car. things such as the original wheels, the under body moldings and everything else that i took off.
